Blogitis
I haven’t blogged for 3 days now and I am fine! I think this is a good sign for someone exhibiting the early symptoms of blogitis. You see blogitis is a newly discovered, rapidly spreading disease among many bloggers. It is the condition where you don’t deem your day complete if you haven’t posted. You often see these bloggers tossing and turning in their beds, dreaming and concocting of things to write. They usually read various magazines and newspapers, relentlessly scour the internet, keep every email jokes and stories forwarded by friends, all in the pursuit of blog fodder. They always have a pen and paper handy or a PDA ready to jot down every idea that is potential blog material.
A symptom of blogitis in its advanced stage is commentum. This is when a blogger leaves comments on numerous blogs hoping the blog owner would return the favor. If this doesn’t satiate him, he will go to Tblurt and scream “New Post! New Post!”. Some of them enter in the Featured Blog contest and describe their blog with all the hyperbole they can muster. They get very antsy when no one leaves a comment after doing all these.
There is no cure for blogitis. The symptoms only eases when you blog more. But the more you blog, the more your Hot Blogs rating goes up. The higher your rating, the more people notices your blog and comment, then your blog rises even higher on the list. Your rising rating will then motivate you to blog even more. Thus this vicious, inescapable cycle continue. Accept it. Embrace it. Have fun.

Amen, :)
Once one starts blogging, one knows no other way. Blogging seems to consume one, though not against one's will, hehe...

Getting comments is definitely a validation. I've never done Tblurt or tried featured blog and made it all the way up to #5. I sometimes have great blog topics and then lose them before getting the chance to get online.
My wife is a little put out that I blog.
"What are you doing?"
"Blogging."
"Of course." as she walks out of the room.

Well, don't stay away too long... I came down with a bad case of commentatum and now I can't stay away from your bloggie. Each time I look away, my whole body begins to tremble, my eyes get blood shot and both nostrils flare... smoke starts to....(alright thats taking it too far) hehehe...
Hmm... where you at and what you been up to? :)

Still here my friend. Just got dragged by the daily grinds of life, namely work, work and work.
Maybe we should start a blogitis support group, LOL. I actually been overloading my synapses with books and mags. One I think you would be interested in is called "The End of Poverty" by Jeffrey D. Sachs.

That's getting to be a familiar complaint here at the seeker's household too :) <<<- Yep, that's a smile.

I think I ALMOST caught that same disease. Thank goodness I didn't though. I don't what I would have done if I did catch it.

A support group? Yeah, I'm all for it, hehe... :)
Ahhh... of course, the daily grinds. Mine mostly revolves around my pc and my books, so its not too grindy, if you know what I mean.
You know, I haven't heard of that book yet, but I'll look it up. From the reviews I read over the net, its apt for a time when the Aid issue seems to be in focus.
Presently my nose is buried in Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand... sound familiar?

Yeah. I heard about that book from several bloggers here at TBlog. There are some Ayn Rand fans around here.
TBlog is back from the dead, I think it was 4 or 5 days out. My veins are still in anguish from Blogitis Withdrawal Syndrome :)
